Shokugeki no Soma is a Japanese shōnen manga series written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. Yuki Morisaki also works as a collaborator, providing the recipes for the series. Individual chapters have been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since November 26, 2012, with tankōbon volumes being released by Shueisha. As of July 2016, 19 volumes have been released in Japan. The series is licensed by Viz Media, who has been releasing the volumes digitally since March 18, 2014, and released the first volume in print on August 5, 2014. An anime adaptation by J.C.Staff aired between April 3, 2015 and September 25, 2015. A second season began airing on July 2, 2016.

Synopsis : Yukihira Souma is the son of a local restaurateur who dreams of inheriting the restaurant who now heads his father. With his father's decision to close and pick sabbatical touring several international restaurants, it is what sends the specialist school Yukihira Totsuki where come the best chefs from around the world and where only 10% manage to graduate. This institution is famous for its "Shougeki" (culinary battles) in which students face demonstrating their skills in the kitchen. Yukihira must successfully achieve graduation and beat all "Shougeki" that challenge you to make it worthy of the legacy of his father. 

Why I will see it ?: I saw the first season with great surprise that I liked despite all the fanservice you have and all are loquats by Souma, but yes, I like cooking theme and the ability to create excitement is very successful. The main reason is to see how it continues and they left us in the first half. That is also the disadvantage that it is another season without a closed for a possible third season depending on the situation of the sleeve end. I hope they keep the wealth of characters and the level of detail presented before meals Interest.
